Intensive English Language Program

The Intensive English Language Program at the University of Northern Colorado provides international students with the English skills necessary for them to be successful in academic programs at an American college or university. We provide English instruction at three levels: Intermediate, High-Intermediate, and Advanced.

There are Two Tracks of Intensive English Coursework at UNC. International students have two options for Intensive English language study:

Track 1 – English Only: International students can study English full-time for one or two semesters. This English coursework is open to all international students, whether they plan to seek a degree or not.

Track 2 – The English Bridge Program: Depending upon current English language proficiency levels, an international student may be accepted into the English Language Bridge Program which allows them to study English intensively while they begin taking courses toward their degree.
